Q & A

Questions And Answers

Q1: Why Has Rock UK sold Halls Green?

Answer:
Rock UK has an objective to be a national provider of residential adventure centres across the UK. Halls Green was one of two centres we were operating in Kent and they were only 20 minutes apart so it did not make strategic sense to have two centres so close to each other. At the same time we have other areas of the UK that we haven’t got centres in as yet. We were approached by another organization to buy Halls Green and we accepted – the sale of Halls Green will enable us to invest in our existing centres, including our other Kent centre Carroty Wood. We will also continue to open new centres as opportunities arise, such as our Welsh centre, Summit Centre, which we opened in October last year.

Q2: Who has bought Halls Green?

Answer:
The buyer is another charity.

Q3: Will the new buyer carry on running Halls Green as an adventure centre?

Answer:
No. The new buyer will not be running Halls Green as an adventure centre.
