Rock UK Conquer Kilimanjaro
Four intrepid adventurers from Frontier Centre conquered Kilimanjaro on Thursday 22nd September. The team set out on 18th September for their trip of a lifetime on a six day trek to the summit and battled against the elements including night time temperatures as low as -12° but the biggest challenge of all, it would seem, was battling fatigue after enduring approximately 40 hours of trekking over the expedition.
Mark Heasman, Chief Executive and one of the group says ‘At Rock UK we are passionate about inspiring people to enjoy the outdoors, expeditions like these help us to keep it fresh and exciting for all visitors and guests to our centres.’
The picture shows the full group posing for a photo opportunity as they got ready to leave Mawenzi Tarn camp ready for the final midnight assent leading to Kibo the summit of Kilimanjaro.
